The vitamin C in lemons also boosts collagen synthesis, another boost to the skin. Lemon water also helps in reducing skin wrinkles, and dry skin to age.

Lemon water can be used as a laxative by people suffering from constipation problem. It is most effective when it is added in hot or warm water and drinking it right after you wake up in the morning as it gets digestive system moving.

Sometimes, when you eat food which have certain ingredients such as garlic, onions, or fish, it can cause bad breath, you can avoid this awkward problem by using lemon water in the morning or after finishing your meals. Lemon can stimulate saliva and drinking lemon water can help to prevent a dry mouth which is another reason for bad breath.

It helps prevent kidney stones

The citric acid in lemon can help to prevent kidney stones. Citrate is a component of citric acid which can make urine less acidic and sometimes it can even help to break to small stones. Drinking lemon water also helps to flush out stones.

In order to gain benefits from lemon water, you need to drink it regularly. In order to receive maximum benefit you need to add some ingredients. Firstly you need to squeeze half a lemon into 8 ounces of water and then to further enhance the flavor or to make the drink more healthy you can add a few leaves of mint, a few drops of maple syrup or honey, a slice of ginger, a dash of cinnamon and a sprinkle of turmeric powder. You can drink lemon water as much as you want and whenever you want but try drinking it first thing in the morning and after your meals in order to reap maximum benefits.
